Property Management Tips – How to Improve the Curb Appeal of Your Rental Property.

Curb appeal is without a doubt one of the most important things that can either attract the right tenants to a rental property or send them running. In this article we will share our thoughts on improving the curb appeal of your rental property to help it rent sooner and for more money.

Tip 1 – Clean up the front to give a positive first impression

Do you have any broken or unused plant pots laying around the front? Maybe a half-used bag of potting soil or a discarded lawn chair? Take the time to clean up all of the clutter and discarded items. First impressions are important and you don’t want to give the impression that you neglect your rental. A little clean up effort can go a long way to getting you an excellent tenant.

Tip #2 – Wash the Exterior of Your Issaquah Rental

Yes Washing the outside of a house is a thing. We typically only wash the bottom story. We use rags a bucket with some soapy water and a garden hose to clean both the siding and gutters. It’s not hard work but it does take time. At the very least you should clean up around the front door and stoop. Clean up any cobwebs or dirt in the corners. Don’t forget to clean the light fixtures.

Tip #3 – Small Upgrades Can Have A Big Impact on your Sammamish rental

Some people want to go large and make expensive changes like new exterior paint or new shutters. We find that small things have the biggest bang for the buck. Maybe just painting the front door or installing a new mailbox or maybe even a new pot with flowering plants.

Tip #4 – Landscaping you Sammamish rental

Keep the lawn mowed and trimmed. We don’t usually worry about the weeds in the lawn but will pull weeds in flower beds. Also, take the time to trim back the bushes and maybe prune some of the trees. If a bush or a tree has outgrown it’s space you should probably just remove it.
